The Relic
Mirror-polished zinc, cold as winter light.
The Relic is the heaviest of our pieces, and the most considered. A steel core is sheathed in 1.5mm rolled zinc, joined at the seams by visible rivets and worked over four weeks with progressively finer abrasives until the surface returns the room as a cool, slightly wavering reflection.
It is built to outlast its occupant by several centuries. Lined in heavy raw silk and goose-down.
Made twelve to the year.
